DRIVING
SCHOOL AT WATERFORD HILLS Thursday JUNE 5, 2003 In following our commitment to promote amateur motorsport activities, CCM will again be hosting its 1-day driving school at the challenging Waterford Hills Road Course, located in Waterford Michigan. Each driver will be able to experience the thrill of their Corvette by exploring its performance and handling capabilities while developing their skills under the safe and legal conditions of a closed racecourse. This
is a non-point non-competitive event strictly for enjoyment and education
purposes. No aggressive driving
tactics will be tolerated. Upon arriving at Waterford Hills, cars will undergo a
mandatory tech inspection, followed by a drivers meeting in which the day's
events will be reviewed. In this
meeting, topics that will be gone over include the flags, best line around the
circuit, safety, as well as driving techniques. For the remainder of the day we will be splitting into groups
according to skill and car ability for 20-25 minute driving sessions at a time.
Through the course of the afternoon, individuals will be paired up with
experienced club members, many of whom are professional race car drivers
themselves, to assist in developing students skills behind the wheel of their
car as well as answer questions that will arise through the day. Note:
It is recommended that prior to arriving at the track you inspect your own car.
